H2O were studied by silica gel paper chromatog. using 25% Na citrate-5% NH4OH (2:1) as developing solvent and detected under 430, 510, 520, and 620 nm, resp. All 4 dyes were rapidly sepd. and detected on the silica gel paper in the order of LY, CM, AR, and ID within 35 min. The av. recovery of LY, CM, AR, and ID from the carbonated drink was 93.3, 92.4, 89.1, and 81.6%, resp., and the corresponding av. recovery from distd. H2O was 101.7, 96.7, 90.7, and 79.8%, resp.

DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 78 (Inorganic Chemicals and Reactions) Cr2O3 reverses the sequence of dehydration of Ba(ClO4)2.3H2O (I). At 223-310° Cr2O3 reacts with Ba(ClO4)2 in a 1:1 molar ratio to give yellow BaCr2O4. At 350-430° BaCr2O4 reacts in 1:1 stoichiometry with I, to give BaCrO4. The products were identified by x-ray diffraction anal. The formation of an unknown phase is also reported. .
