The resulting clear, viscous mixt. was heated under reflux with development of turbidity as crystn. commenced; the viscosity remained the same. The crystal slurry was treated for 4 h in a heated kneading app., with removal of water during the last hour, to give 1400 g coarse crystals identified by x-ray diffraction as NaH14Al3(PO4)8.4H2O. .
