Occurrence of a highly conductive phase in the composite was confirmed. The self-diffusion const. of Li in this phase was 8.1 ′ 10-10 cm2s-1 at 300 K. This value is 1600 times that in the LiI matrix and of a reasonable order of magnitude to explain the enhanced cond. quant. The compn. dependence of the enhancement could be explained by a change in thickness of the interfacial layer between an Al2O3 particle and the LiI matrix. .

The current-current correlation function was calcd. at T = 200 and 400 K, and from this the absorption and dispersion were obtained. Anharmonic broadening is obsd. at the higher temp.
