Thus, a mixt. of (PhO)3PO 20, I 10, II 10 and rubber-modified polystyrene 70 parts had m.p. 165° and extrusion torque 400 in-lb, compared with 182° and 750 in-lb without the (PhO)3PO.

The thermal and distortional resistant resin compd. for noise-blocking pad comprises (a) 100 parts by wt. of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer; (b) 0.1-10 parts by wt. of a foaming agent; and (c) 5-20 parts by wt. of inorg. filler such as wollastonite, glass fiber and mica; and (d) 10-30 parts by wt. of a halogen retardant. The ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer has 1-30 g/10 min of melt flow index and 5-35 wt.% of vinyl acetate content. The foaming agent is selected from at least one azodicarbonamide, N,N'-dinitrosopentamethylenetetramine, p-toluenesulfonylhydrazide, p,p'-oxybis(benzenesulfonyl hydrazide), p-toluenesulfonyl semicarbazide, azobisisobutyronitrile and diazoaminoazobenzene. The wollastonite of inorg. filler has 4-5 mm of av. particle size and 120-160 mm of length. The halogen retardant is decabromodiphenylether, ethylene-bis(tetrabromophthalimide), bispentabromophenoxyethane or their mixt.Except for chemicals metioned above, 10396-10-8 and 1163-19-5 are also used. .
