The preferred compn. m. 5-17° contains CaBr2 32-37, CaCl2 ~20-24, KBr or KBr and KCl ~3-4%, and balance water. Effects of SrCl2, Ba(OH)2, BaO, SrBr2, Sr(OH)2, SrI2, BaI2, and BaCO3 nucleating agents on supercooling prevention of a compn. contg. CaBr2 34.57, CaCl2 21.98, water 40.19, KBr 1.9, and KCl 1.36% were demonstrated. .
