The molar absorptivities of C.I. Mordant Black 9 [2052-25-7], C.I. Mordant Black 17 [2538-85-4], and C.I. Mordant Blue 13 [1058-92-0] decreased on increasing the dye concn. and increased on the addn. of different solvents. The dyes were nearly mol. dispersed when the solns. were buffered to pH 9-10. At pH >10 there was no indication of real aggregation. .
