- Identification of some potential antidiabetic compounds on impregnated silica gel G plates as their p-complexes. Jain, Rajeev; Agarwal, D. D. (Sch. Stud. Chem., Jiwaji Univ., Gwalior 474 011, India). J. Liq. Chromatogr., 6(14), 2661-4 (English) 1983. CODEN: JLCHD8. ISSN: 0148-3919. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 64 (Pharmaceutical Analysis) A rapid and convenient procedure for the detection of potential antidiabetics (I, R = H, Me, Cl or MeO, R1 = R2 = Me or Ph) as p complexes with arom. amines is described. The resolved p complexes were highly colored, and the limit of detection on TLC plates was 1-2 mg. An aq. silica gel G slurry contg. p-toluidine [106-49-0] was used to prep. the plates, and I in acetone were eluted with various solvent systems; xylene-CHCl3-Me2CO (:10) and C6H6-CHCl3-EtCOMe (:5) were the best.In this experiment, several chemicals are used like 89272-25-3 and 20053-24-1 Only 12 of 20 pyrazoles could be sepd. on plain silica gel G plates. .

DOCUMENT TYPE: Patent CA Section: 35 (Chemistry of Synthetic High Polymers) N-Substituted imides are prepd. from a dicarboxylic acid and an amine in the presence of a catalyst system comprising a strong O-contg. acid and a pyridinium, phosphonium, or sulfonium salt of the acid. Thus, 3 mol p-toluidine [106-49-0] in 1 L Me2CO was treated with 3 mol maleic anhydride [108-31-6] in 2 L Me2CO over 2 h at 20° to give N-(p-tolyl)maleamic acid [24870-11-9], mixed (1.83 g) with a distd. mixt. contg. p-toluenesulfonic acid monohydrate [6192-52-5] 0.098, 1-methylpyridinium p-toluenesulfonate [38542-71-1] 0.505, and PhCl 160 g, and distd. 2 h at 132° to give 4.64 mM N-(p-tolyl)maleimide [1631-28-3]. .
