Ne,Ne-bis(chlorohydroxypropyl)lysine and O-[(dihydroxyproxy)hydroxypropyl]tyrosine were also identified in the silk and wool fibers treated with II, the latter being formed by addn. of a second mol. of II to O-(dihydroxypropyl)tyrosine residue. S-(Dihydroxypropl)- and S-(2-carboxypropyl)cysteines were identified by the single ion monitoring (SIM) method for the wool fibers treated with III indicating that thiol groups of cysteine residues could react with both epoxy and methacryl groups of GMA. S-(Chlorohydroxypropyl)cysteine as well as S-(dihydroxypropyl)- and Ne,Ne-bis(chlorohydroxypropyl)lysines were also found in the wool fibers treated with I by the SIM method.Except for chemicals metioned above, 556-52-5 and 106-89-8 are also used. .
