For example, 1 g ubiquinone-10 (I) [303-98-0] was mixed with 0.5 g decaglycerol decaoleate [11094-60-3] and 1 g decaglycerol monooleate [79665-93-3] at 60° and then with 50 mL H2O. This emulsion was slowly added to 200 mL H2O contg. 10 g 2-hydroxypropyl cellulose [9004-64-2], and the mixt. was spray-dried to yield 7 g powder (particle diam. 5-100 mm). A significant increase of bioavailability was shown in dogs as compared with a control prepd. with monoglycerol trioleate instead of the decaglycerol esters.
