Effect of substrate rotation rate on the spray coating
Effect of substrate rotation rate on the spray coating. Morimoto, Junji; Yamaguchi, Akio (Coll. Sci. Technol., Kinki Univ., Osaka, Japan). Kankyo Kagaku Kenkyusho Kenkyu Hokoku (Kinki Daigaku), 11, 57-9 (Japanese) 1983. CODEN: KKKDE7. 12597-71-6 and 7440-02-0 which are cas registry numbers are also used here. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 56 (Nonferrous Metals and Alloys) Section cross-reference(s): 55 Ni-20% Cr [11106-97-1], Ni, and Cu powders were deposited on rotating brass [12597-71-6] and mild steel pipes by flame spraying. The relation between amt. of particles deposited and no. of rotations was detd. The amt. of deposited particles decreased remarkably above 7000 rpm. .
Properties of oxide and oxide-metal plasma-spray coatings
Properties of oxide and oxide-metal plasma-spray coatings. Knotek, O.; Elsing, R.; Strompen, N. (Inst. Werkstoffkd.Chemicals with cas numbers 39381-05-0 and 7429-90-5 also play role., RWTH, Aachen, Fed. Rep. Ger.). Metall (Berlin), 38(3), 201-4 (German) 1984. CODEN: MTLLAF. ISSN: 0026-0746. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 55 (Ferrous Metals and Alloys) The adhesion, structure, wear, and thermal fatigue were studied of plasma-sprayed Al2O3 (3%TiO2), stabilized ZrO2 (13% Y2O3) and 70/30 or 30/70 Mo/ZrO2 powder coatings on gray iron GG25 [39381-05-0] and steels C45N [59536-37-7], X20Cr13 [37241-55-7], and X10CrNiMoTi1810 [12728-34-6], using a Ni-20Cr [11106-97-1] interlayer. The a-Al2O3 transformed to g-modification but the tetragonal ZrO2 powder did not change by the spray process, as detd. by x-ray diffraction. The av. tensile adhesive strength was 10-17 N/mm2 depending on the substrate. The Al2O3 and ZrO2 coatings were more ductile without spalling even under high fatigue bend loads compared to Mo-oxide mixts. The corrosion resistance is impaired owing to porosity of the coating taking up the corrosive fluids which penetrate and corrode the substrate. The thermal fatigue was tested by 200 cycles of quenching from 120 or 240° to room temp. Crack sensitivity was found for the plate specimens and the edges when the quenching temp. was 240°. .
