Physicochem. properties of the oil were detd. and the compn. was found by gas-liq. and thin-layer chromatog. and IR spectra. Seven fractions were obtained by oil fractionation and they were identified by prepg. their resp. derivs. The compds. were: l-a-phellandrene [4221-98-1] 6, d-limonene [5989-27-5] 29, d-citronellal [2385-77-5] 4, d-methone [1196-31-2] 10.4, l-carbomenthone [13163-73-0] 7, d-citronellol [1117-61-9] 3, geraniol [106-24-1] 12, and Me eugenol [93-15-2] 13.4%. In addn., caproic acid [142-62-1] 10% and citronellic acid [502-47-6] 4.6% were also identified.
