- Preparation of polyurea-polyurethane gel for air fresheners
- Preparation of polyurea-polyurethane gel for air fresheners. (Uni-Charm Corp., Japan). Jpn. Kokai Tokkyo Koho JP 59057658 A2 3 Apr 1984 Showa, 4 pp. (Japanese). (Japan). CODEN: JKXXAF. CLASS: IC: A61L009-01. APPLICATION: JP 82-167623 28 Sep 1982. DOCUMENT TYPE: Patent CA Section: 62 (Essential Oils and Cosmetics) Air fresheners comprise hydrophilic urethane prepolymer 5-50%, odorless solvent 5-50% by wt. plus a fragrant soln. These air fresheners can be readily prepd. and the viscosity of the urethane prepolymers is decreased by the solvents, and the mixing process is improved. Thus, polyethylene polypropylene ethylene glycol ether [53637-72-2] and polyethylene polypropylene glyceryl ether [9082-00-2] were treated with toluylene diisocyanate to obtain a urethane prepolymer (viscosity 8000 cP at 25°). Treatment of this polymer with diethylene glycol monoethyl ether acetate [112-15-2] decreased the viscosity to 700 c P at 25°. Finally, this product was combined with an orange oil, a nonionic surfactant, Nonipol-120, iso-PrOH, 2,6-di-tert-butylhydroxytoluene, and H2O to give an air freshener.
- Repair of spots by dispersion-type coating compositions
- Repair of spots by dispersion-type coating compositions. Toda, Kimio; Tokushima, Yasuo; Suzuki, Toshiichi (Toyota Motor Co., Ltd., Japan). Japan. Kokai JP 52089142 26 Jul 1977 Showa, 6 pp. (Japanese). (Japan). CODEN: JKXXAF. CLASS: IC: B05D007-14. APPLICATION: JP 76-6214 22 Jan 1976. DOCUMENT TYPE: Patent CA Section: 42 (Coatings, Inks, and Related Products) Spots on automobile bodies were repaired by undercoating the spots and their surrounding with solvents contg. >20% (vol.) Carbitol acetate (I) [112-15-2] or a similar O-contg. solvent or a nonaq. dispersion-type clear coating contg. >20% (vol.) O-contg. solvents in the volatile fraction and coating with nonaq. dispersion-type coating compns. Thus, steel was electrodeposited, dried, polished, coated with an acrylic melamine resin (34% solids, aliph. hydrocarbons, naphtha, I, and butyl Cellosolve (II) [111-76-2] as solvents, and polished to give a spot, and the spot was repaired by coating with an acrylic melamine clear coating contg. >40% (vol.) I and II in the volatile fraction and 15% solids and the above acrylic melamine resin.
