DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 38 (Elastomers, Including Natural Rubber) The curing of random ethylene-alkyl acrylate-1,4-butenedioic acid ester elastomers (U.S. Patent 3,904,588) with diamines in the presence of dialkylamine accelerators gave crack-free vulcanizates after post curing the press cured vulcanizates in hot air ovens. Suitable dialkylamine accelerators include: Bu2NH [111-92-2], N-methyloctylamine [2439-54-5], dodecylamine [124-22-1], N-methyloctadecylamine [2439-55-6], and dioctadecylamine [112-99-2]. The salts of these amines with weak acids are also suitable accelerators.
