Meisenberg, Gerhard; Simmons, William H.Several substances are used for example 113-78-0 and 20576-70-9 which are their cas registry numbers. (Med. Sch., Loyola Univ., Maywood, IL 60153, USA). Life Sci., 34(13), 1231-40 (English) 1984. CODEN: LIFSAK. ISSN: 0024-3205. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 2 (Mammalian Hormones) Behavioral activation was detd. in mice after intracerebroventricular administration of the oxytocin and vasopressin analogs, [8-arginine]vasopressin [113-79-1], [8-lysine]vasopressin [50-57-7], deamino-[8-lysine]vasopressin [25529-45-7], deamino-[7-(3,4-dehydroproline),8-arginine]vasopressin [66185-32-8], deamino-6-carba-[8-ornithine]vasopressin [54539-83-2], and deamino-1,6-dicarba-[8-arginine]vasopressin [24057-83-8], oxytocin [50-56-6], deamino-oxytocin [113-78-0], and deamino-1-carba-oxytocin [20576-70-9]. The duration of activity of arginine- and lysine-vasopressin was short-lived, whereas that of the deamino analogs was much longer, suggesting that degrdn. by (an) aminopeptidase(s) was the major route of inactivation. No correlation between the structures of oxytocin and its analogs and duration of biol. activity was obsd. .

- Dopamine-inhibited release of prolactin and intermediate lobe-POMC-peptides: different modulation by opioids. Voigt, Karl H.; Frank, Dagmar; Dueker, Eva; Martin, Rainer; Wuttke, Wolfgang (Labor Neuroendokrinol., Univ. Ulm, Ulm 7900, Fed. Rep. Ger.). Life Sci., 33(Suppl. 1), 507-10 (English) 1983. CODEN: LIFSAK. ISSN: 0024-3205. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 2 (Mammalian Hormones) b-Endorphin [60617-12-1] (10-7-10-6M) attenuated the inhibition of prolactin [9002-62-4] secretion by dopamine [51-61-6] in primary monolayer cultures of rat anterior pituitary cells. The inhibitory effect of dopamine was not obsd. when b-endorphin secretion was stimulated by arginine vasopressin [113-79-1]. The inhibitory effect of dopamine on a-MSH [37213-49-3], ACTH [9002-60-2], and b-endorphin by cultured intermediate lobe cells was not affected by opioids. Thus, under certain conditions (e.g., stress), prolactin secretion stimulation may be partially mediated by a direct action of b-endorphin on the lactotroph.Except for chemicals metioned above, 9002-62-4 and 51-61-6 are also used. .
