Triterpenoids isolated from ethanol exts. of Ganoderma lucidum (Fr. 114567-47-4 and 103773-62-2 are also in the experiment.) Krast (Ganodermataceae) inhibited 5a-reductase activity. The presence of the C-3 carbonyl group and of the C-26-a,b-unsatd. carbonyl group was characteristic of almost all inhibitors isolated from G. lucidum. .
