DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 37 (Plastics Manufacture and Processing) Thermoplastic LARC-LRP80 which can be cured by an addn. reaction to give a linear polymer structure was prepd., and its morphol., thermal oxidative stability, and phys. and adhesive properties were reported. The synthesis involved the reaction of an acetylene-terminated prepolymer, Thermid LR-600, with a biscitraconimide (I). Several plausible reaction mechanisms were suggested. The results of the FTIR anal. coupled with material phys. and mech. properties provided the preliminary evidence supporting the formation of a linear polymer from cycloaddn. reaction of the acetylene with I. .
