For instance, to a mixt. of II (93 g) and benzene (279 g) was charged with liq. ammonia (119 g), and then heated to 120°C in 3 h while the pressure reached 6 MPa. The reaction was continued for addnl. 4 h at this temp. After the excess of ammonia was recovered, I in the reaction mixt. was converted into its hydrochloride salt by bubbling anhyd. HCl. This salt was thus obtained in 91.07% yield.Except for chemicals metioned above, 121-05-1 is also used. .
