L-cysteine 0.2, yeast ext. 0.5, meat ext. 0.5, polypeptone 0.5, glycerol 0.1, CaCl2 0.2, and NaCl 0.2% were added to 0.1 M ammonium buffer (pH 9.5) contg. .beta.-chloro-L-alanine [2731-73-9] 5 mM, (NH4)2S or (NH4)2Sx (S content = 5%) 0.5 mM, Na laurylsulfate 0.05%, and pyridoxal phosphate 0.1 mM.
