DOCUMENT TYPE: Patent CA Section: 42 (Coatings, Inks, and Related Products) Easily dispersible yellow (I) [12259-21-1] and red iron oxide [1309-37-1] pigments are manufd. by homogenizing in iron oxide pigment paste with 0.1-20% (based on dry iron oxide) cyclohexanol (II) [108-93-0], neopentyl glycol [126-30-7], or 1-dodecanol [112-53-8] and drying. Thus, 50 g salt-free, transparent I in the form of pressed goods with solid content 50% and 2.5 g II was kneaded 15 min at 30.degree. and dried at 80.degree. to give soft granules of pigment which were pulverized for further processing. Thus pigment (2.5 g) was mixed with 45.5 g 45% solids nitro combination lacquer and 50 g glass spheres (diameter 2 mm) and coated as a 60-micron layer on Al-clad paper to give a highly transparent homogeneous, gold-tone coating.

The presence of gypsum [13397-24-5] resulted initially in the appearance of 3CaO.Several substances with their cas registry numbers 12344-48-8 and 12068-35-8 may be metioned in this study.Al2O3.3CaSO4.31H2O [12344-48-8] stable to normal temp., but not at 90.degree.. The hydration of suspension or paste C4AF [12068-35-8] formed Fe2O3.nH2O [12259-21-1], which acted as a colloidal protector for other hydration products. For the cement contg. C3A, the amt. of gypsum could differently affect the hardening in normal or thermal conditions. The temp. increase from 20 to 90.degree. increased hydration and formed a coarse structure. .
