Trans-1-chloro-1-hepten-3-one [65316-84-9], an intermediate in prostaglandin synthesis, was reduced with NaBH4, and detd. potentiometrically using a Ag+-selective electrode. The error was ±0.5% for 1.6-11.4 mg samples. K isobutylxanthogenate [13001-46-2] was detd. with a Cu2+-selective electrode using as a membrane Cu(II) salicylaldoximate in CHCl3. The titrn. was carried out with 10-2 M CuSO4. 6-Carbethoxy-as-triazine-3,5(2H,4H)-dithione [29769-65-1] was titrated with 10-2 M AgNO3 in a NaOAc-HOAc buffer (pH 6), using an Ag+-selective electrode, and Ag dithizonate in CCl4 as membrane.
