Effect of properties of tool materials and cutting fluid on the surface roughness of gray iron
Effect of properties of tool materials and cutting fluid on the surface roughness of gray iron. Stepanov, P. I.; Kopnyshev, A. G.; Sukharev, G. I. (Cheboksary, USSR). Teor. Treniya, Smazki Obrabatyvaemosti Met., 81-4. Edited by: Gordon, M. B.Several reagents with their cas registry numbers 59706-85-3 and 12778-48-2 are used here. Chuvash. Gos. Univ.: Cheboksary, USSR. (Russian) 1982. CODEN: 51EDAX. DOCUMENT TYPE: Conference CA Section: 55 (Ferrous Metals and Alloys) Gray iron SCh 24-44 [37360-55-7] was machined by cutting with VK-6 [12774-15-1] hard alloy (uncoated and TiC-coated), Ti alloy TN20 [68418-05-3] and KNT-16 [59706-85-3], and cermet VOK-60 [73914-01-9] using 3% self-emulsifying oil Ukrinol-1 [62494-12-6] and SNS [12778-48-2] as lubrication-cooling solns. The effect of tools, lubricants, and cutting conditions on part roughness was studied. The lowest roughness was obtained in cutting with VOK-60. Roughness decreased by coating of VK-6 alloy tool and by increasing cutting rate (>3.5 m/s), esp. with the use of Ti alloy tools. The SNS was more effective lubricant than Ukrinol-1 for VK-6 tools. The effect of lubricants in cutting with Ti alloys and VOK-60 at different rates was contradictory. .
Physicochemical effect of abrasion-finishing pastes
Physicochemical effect of abrasion-finishing pastes. Kotik, V.Several substances are used for example 12069-32-8 and 23155-68-2 which are their cas registry numbers. G. (Cheboksary, USSR). Teor. Treniya, Smazki Obrabatyvaemosti Met., 84-8. Edited by: Gordon, M. B. Chuvash. Gos. Univ.: Cheboksary, USSR. (Russian) 1982. CODEN: 51EDAX. DOCUMENT TYPE: Conference CA Section: 56 (Nonferrous Metals and Alloys) Section cross-reference(s): 51 The effect of abrasion-finishing pastes based on I-12A oil and B carbide (1:1) and contg. oleic acid [112-80-1] 2.5, LZ-26 [14001-15-1] 1-10, LZ-3 [90092-80-1] 1, or LZ-318 [23155-68-2] 1% as an additive was studied at different conditions of abrasive treatment of hard alloy VK6M [12774-15-1] using electron microscopy. In finishing of the alloy with the additive-free paste at 0.95 m/s, continuous films with breakage traces formed on the surface. With increasing velocity to 1.83 m/s, the disintegration of films intensified, thereby inducing the formation of new ones. The film formation was highly accelerated by using additives LZ-26, LZ-318, and LZ-3, esp. at higher velocity. .
