Antidotal efficacy of tetraethylenepentamine for acute nickel carbonyl poisoning in rats
Antidotal efficacy of tetraethylenepentamine for acute nickel carbonyl poisoning in rats. Jones, D. C.; May, P. M.; Williams, D. R.; Reid, M. C.; Sunderman, F. W., Jr. (Inst. Sci. Technol., Univ. Wales, Cardiff CF1 3NU, UK). Inorg. Chim. Acta, 91(4), L51-L53 (English) 1984. CODEN: ICHAA3. ISSN: 0020-1693. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 4 (Toxicology) Computer simulation studies indicated that tetraethylenepentamine (I) [112-57-2] was superior to triethylenetetramine [112-24-3] or N,N-bis(2-aminoethyl)-1,3-propanediamine [13002-64-7] as a Ni chelator. I had LD5, LD50, and LD95 values of 0.78, 1.08, and 1. 112-24-3 and 13002-64-7 which are cas registry numbers of substances are two of reagents here.90 mmol/kg, resp., in rats. The antidotal efficacy of I vs. Ni(CO)4 poisoning in rats was approx. equal to that of diethyldithiocarbamate [147-84-2] and the combination of I + diethyldithiocarbamate might be synergistic. .
