The adsorption decreases in the series 141Ce > 134Cs > 89Sr > 57Co. All the radionuclides except 134Cs can be easily desorbed by HNO3 solns.

Addn. of up to 4% Na bentonite [1302-78-9] to the molasses stimulated growth addnl., presumably by affecting rumen toxicity.
