DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 37 (Plastics Manufacture and Processing) The effects of lubricants, stabilizers, sample size, and sample quantity on mixing of PVC were evaluated. 1323-38-2 and 57-11-4 which are cas registry numbers of substances are two of reagents here. Optimum conditions were obtained with 30 cm3 mixing vol., 32 g load, rotor speed 30 rotations/min, and 2 parts tribasic Pb sulfate as stabilizer. As lubricants, stearic acid exhibited a much greater lubricating effect than did glycerin monostearate. .

Some of their cas registry numbers are 1323-38-2 and 25723-16-4 of 45.0% PVC, 28.0% di-2-ethylhexylphthalate, 3.0% soybean oil epoxy butyl ether, 0.1% Ti white, 17.8% microground CaCO3, 0.3% b-aminocrotonic acid ester, 0.9% azodicarbonamide, and 4.0% mixt. composed of 12.5% glycerin monoricinoleate, 50.0% Bu ester of soybean oil, 25% Vaseline oil, 5.0% oleic acid and 7.5% polypropoxamer of trimethylolpropane (mol. wt. 3000) gave a paste with good storing properties for 6 mo. Packings prepd. after gelation at 230° for 48 h had spec. wt. 0.450 g/cm3, smooth and glossy surface and sealing properties to 1.2 MPa. .
