Planta Daninha, 5(2), 20-8 (Portuguese) 1982. CODEN: PLDADO. ISSN: 0100-8358. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 5 (Agrochemical Bioregulators) Weed control by Metribuzin [21087-64-9], napropamide [15299-99-7], chloramben [133-90-4], diphenamide [957-51-7], pebulate [1114-71-2], and trifluralin [1582-09-8] applied sep. (at 0.35, 3.40, 2.50, 2.00, 3.60, and 0.67 kg/ha, resp.) and combined each one with metribuzin at the same dose, depended on the weed species. Also, the effectiveness of chloramben, napropamide, diphenamide, and metribuzin at 3.40, 3.00, 5.00, and 0.70 kg/ha resp., and pebulate at 4. 72981-88-5 and 75199-87-0 are also in the experiment.32 and 1.76 kg/ha, applied sep. or combined with pebulate at mentioned dosages, was evaluated. All compds. showed some control of weeds, although the efficiency of each product was weed-species dependent. Only pebulate was efficient on Cyperus rotundus. Bachiaria plantaginea And Digitaria sanguinalis were better controlled by chloramben, napropamide, diphenamide, and trifluralin. Metribuzin gave excellent control of Bidens pilosa and Galinsoga parviflora. Mixts. of metribuzin or pebulate with each herbicide were more effective than each herbicide alone. All compds. were tolerated by tomato. No visible injury were obsd. .

- Postplant preemergence herbicides on cut flowers, 1983. Bing, Arthur; Macksel, Maria (L. I. Hort. Res. Lab., Riverhead, NY, USA). Proc. Annu. Meet. Northeast. Weed Sci. Soc., 38, 228-32 (English) 1984. CODEN: PNWSBF. ISSN: 0078-1703. 1861-32-1 and 957-51-7 are cas registry numbers of chemicals which are used as reagents here. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 5 (Agrochemical Bioregulators) Preemergence herbicides, such as (concns. in lb/acre) napropamide [15299-99-7] (4-8), DCPA [1861-32-1] (10), and oryzalin [19044-88-3] (2) were safe for aster (Callistephus chinensis), cornflower (Centaurea cyanus), celosia (Celosia cyanus), dahlia (Dahlia meneckii), lunaria (Lunaria biennis), marigold (Tagetes minuta), chinese latern (Physalis alkekengi), snapdragon (Antirrhinum majus maximum), Limonium sinuatum , Helichrysum bracteatum and zinnia (Zinnia elegans). Trifluralin [1582-09-8] diphenamid [957-51-7], and chloramben [133-90-4] may cause some harm to some of these plants, e.g., celosia. Weed control was good with all these herbicides, e.g. 100% weed control was obtained with oxyfluorfen [42874-03-3]n (2-4 lb/acre). .
