The rate of decrease of purine synthesis was greater in the absence than in the presence of folate [59-30-3], and was even greater when homocysteine [6027-13-0] replaced methionine. 63-68-3 and 120-73-0 are just another two chemicals used in this study. The mechanism of the effect of decreased methionine on purine synthesis is discussed. .
