DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 56 (Nonferrous Metals and Alloys) Section cross-reference(s): 55 The effect of the chlorosilane [13465-78-6]-triethylamine [121-44-8]-triethylamine hydrochloride [554-68-7] system on corrosion of structural materials of steel St. 3 [39296-41-8], stainless steel 12Kh18N10T [50947-31-4], Al AD-1 [37268-38-5], and Al alloy AMg6 [12732-16-0] was studied at 20-140° for 120-2160 h. The medium had a low corrosive effect on steels (0.01 mm/yr), due to the formation of the dense film of corrosion products on their surfaces. The longer the testing time, the lower the corrosion rate. At £1080- testing, and at 20-60° during 2160 h, AO1 and AMg6 were affected similarly. Longer medium effect at 140° caused fracture of both metals (1 mm/yr). Reaction of metals with the medium was accompanied by the formation of (Et3NH)2FeCl4 (steel), Et4NAlCl4 (AO1), and Et3NHAlCl4 (AMg6). .
