DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 5 (Agrochemical Bioregulators) Spraying 200 L/ha of 100 ppm R-salt (a monophenol; MPh) [135-51-3], 100 ppm RD-Brown (a diphenol) [103470-82-2], or 200 ppm H-acid (MPh) [90-20-0] increased the grain yield of rice of the medium-quality Palman 579 cultivar by 28.46, 24.1, and 13.6%, resp. RD-Brown and G-salt (MPh) [118-32-1] at 100 ppm increased the yield merely by 2.7 and 5.9%, resp., but the 1000-grain wt. increased from 20.33 to 26.2 and 29 g, resp. In the coarse variety Jaya, the max. increase in yield over control (43.08%) was with R-salt (100 ppm) followed by H-acid (100 ppm) (21.6%). The max. no. of spikelets per plant was obsd. with RD-Brown and R-salt. The 1000-grain wt. was highest in R-salt (100 ppm) and was neg. correlated with the no. of spikelets per plant.
