DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 69 (Thermodynamics, Thermochemistry, and Thermal Properties) Evapn. of WOF4 [13520-79-1] and its mixt. with Nb3F15 [63144-38-7] was studied by mass spectroscopy. In addn. to the dimer W2O2F8 [63144-36-5] which existed in WOF4 and in the mixt. vapor phases, the vapor of the mixt. contained NbWOF9 [63144-37-6]. The std. enthalpy of the dimer dissocn. is 15.5 .+-. 5 kcal/mole and that of NbWOF9 dissocn. is 2.3 .+-. 1.7 kcal/mole. The std. enthalpies of W2O2F8(g) and NbWOF9(g) formation are -697.5 .+-. 5.5 and -770.3 .+-. 3.1 kcal/mole, resp.
