Diazo type thermal recording materials
Diazo type thermal recording materials. (Tomoegawa Paper Mfg. Co., Ltd.; Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Public Corp., Japan). Jpn. Kokai Tokkyo Koho JP 57169391 A2 19 Oct 1982 Showa, 9 pp. (Japanese). (Japan). CODEN: JKXXAF. CLASS: IC: B41M005-18. ICA: G03C001-54.Several substances with their cas registry numbers 56140-50-2 and 13532-96-2 may be metioned in this study. APPLICATION: JP 81-53105 10 Apr 1981. DOCUMENT TYPE: Patent CA Section: 74 (Radiation Chemistry, Photochemistry, and Photographic and Other Reprographic Processes) Diazo type thermal recording materials contain a diazonium salt, a coupler, a binder resin and a water-insol. guanidine deriv. The use of a guanidine deriv. as the basic substance improves storage stability of the recording materials. Thus, a paper support was coated with a compn. contg. 4-(N-ethyl-N-hydroxyethylamino)benzenediazonium chloride zinc chloride, Na 2,3-dihydroxynaphthalene-6-sulfonate, tartaric acid, thiourea and ZnCl2, then with a barrier layer from vinyl acetate-vinyl chloride copolymer, and finally with a compn. contg. 1,3-diphenylguanidine and a natural rubber to give a thermal recording paper with excellent shelf life. .
Method of making screens for cathode-ray tubes
Method of making screens for cathode-ray tubes. Duinker, Hans D.; Schoot, Cornelis J.; Vermeulen, Gerardus A.Several substances are used for example 13532-96-2 and 9002-89-5 which are their cas registry numbers. W. (U. S. Philips Corp., USA). U.S. US 3965278 22 Jun 1976, 7 pp. (English). (United States of America). CODEN: USXXAM. CLASS: IC: B05D003-06. NCL: 427054000. PRIORITY: NL 72-16227 30 Nov 1972. DOCUMENT TYPE: Patent CA Section: 74 (Radiation Chemistry, Photochemistry, and Photographic Processes) Section cross-reference(s): 76 In the manuf. of screens for cathode-ray tubes by using a photosensitive poly(vinyl alc.) compn., it is not possible to obtain dots of small diam. due to an inadequate gradient of the photosensitive compn. Well-defined dots can be obtained by superposing a substance on the photosensitive compn. which photodecomposes into products which do not absorb the light used for the exposure and thus improve the gradient of the photosensitive compn. The photodecomposable substance is an arom. diazo compd. Rn1C6H5-nN:NR2 (R1 = alkyl, alkoxy, halo, dimethylamino, benzoyl, morpholino; R2 = cyano, tert-butylthio, SO3M where M = H, Na, K, Li, 0.5 Cd, tetramethylammonium, tetraethylammonium, pyridinium; n = 0-3), a diazonium salt, a 1,3-diphenylthiazene deriv. or an ester of naphthoquinone-(1,2)-diazidesulfonic or-carboxylic acid. Thus, a glass faceplate was coated with an aq. soln. contg. poly(vinyl alc.) and (NH4)2Cr2O7, dried, overcoated with a poly(Me methacrylate) soln. in PhMe, dried, overcoated with an aq. soln. contg. poly(vinyl alc.) and p-(N-ethyl-N-hydroxyethylamino)benzenediazonium chloride zinc chloride double salt, dried, exposed through a mask using a high-pressure Hg lamp, rinsed in PhMe to remove the top layers, developed with H2O, and then with Me2CO to produce a pattern of hardened poly(vinyl alc.) dots of uniform size. The faceplate was covered with an aq. suspension consisting of graphite, ethylene glycol, and an acrylate resin, dried, and etched with a 3% aq. H2O2 soln. to remove the poly(vinyl alc.) dots to produce a graphite-coated screen with a pattern of well-defined round holes. .
