DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 69 (Thermodynamics, Thermochemistry, and Thermal Properties) The values of relative partial molal (r.p.m.) enthalpy, r.p.m. entropy, and excess r.p.m. entropy of H2O were calcd. from the data on integral enthalpies of soln. of Mn(ClO4)2 [13770-16-6], Ni(ClO4)2 [13637-71-3], and Zn(ClO4)2 [13637-61-1] in H2O and the data on H2O activities in 0.3-4 m solns. at 25-45°. The results are interpreted in terms of specific ion-H2O interactions.

DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 72 (Electrochemistry) Section cross-reference(s): 78 The redn. of Ni(ClO4)2 [13637-71-3] in the presence of CO and substituted phosphines or diphosphines was studied in MeCN by cyclic voltammetry. Only mono- and bis-carbonylphosphinenickel(0) complexes are formed, while no evidence for the formation of carbonyl-nickel(I) and -nickel(II) species was obtained. Although the oxidn. processes are not reversible, a good correlation between the anodic peak potentials relative to nickel(0) complexes and the s-donor-p-acceptor abilities of the phosphines employed was obsd.
