(in the drinking water) prior to artificial infection with E. tenella, none of the prepns. was potent enough to prevent destruction of the cecal wall by E. tenella. Amprol [137-88-2] was the most effective anticoccidial agent, followed by Belmet [65567-91-1], Sulmet [1981-58-4], and Darvisul Liquid [65566-74-7]. Sulfaquinoxaline [59-40-5], Noxal [967-80-6], and Novastat-W [8014-44-6] were the least effective coccidiostats.

The electroredn. was studied of the starting material 2-propyl-4-amino-5-cyanopyrimidine [60185-80-0] on electrodes of various materials (e.g. Ni sinter, Ni with Pd sponge, Ni with Ni sponge, Pd with Pd sponge and Ni with Cu sponge). The use of a Pd-coated Ni electrode resistant to H2SO4 allows one to obtain I with a material yield of 84% and a current efficiency of 56%. .
