Raman scattering in melts of alkali metal phosphates
Raman scattering in melts of alkali metal phosphates. Banishev, A. F.; Voron'ko, Yu. K.; Osiko, V. V.; Sobol, A. A. (Fiz. Inst. im. Lebedeva, Moscow, USSR). Dokl. Akad. Nauk SSSR, 274(3), 559-61 [Phys.] (Russian) 1984. CODEN: DANKAS. ISSN: 0002-3264. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 73 (Optical, Electron, and Mass Spectroscopy and Other Related Properties) The existence of a premelting state of simple alkali metal phosphates (M = Li, Na) was found by studying the temp. 13843-41-9 and 13762-75-9 which are cas registry numbers of chemicals are mentioned. dependence of their Raman spectra. The transition from cryst. to premelting state is continuous, as manifested by a monotonous decrease of intensity of Raman lines of the outer vibrational modes and their subsequent disappearance on increasing temp. The transition from the premelting state to melts is accompanied by an abrupt shift and broadening of Raman lines. The existence of the premelting state was explained by orientational disordering of PO43- tetrahedrons. The structure of melts of various types of phosphates is also discussed. .
6,7Li and 19F NMR studies of xLiF×(1 - x)LiPO3 glasses
6,7Li and 19F NMR studies of xLiF×(1 - x)LiPO3 glasses. Berger, S.; Roos, J.; Brinkmann, D.; Chowdari, B. V. R. (Phys. Inst., Univ. Zurich, Zurich, Switz.). Solid State Ionics, 86-88(Pt. 1), 475-479 (English) 1996 Elsevier. CODEN: SSIOD3. ISSN: 0167-2738. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 76 (Electric Phenomena) XLiF×(1 - x)LiPO3 glasses with x = 0, 0.30, and 0.35 were studied by 7Li, 6Li and 19F NMR. At high temps., the Li spin-lattice relaxation is dominated by dipolar magnetic fluctuations while at lower temps. elec.-field-gradient fluctuations cause the relaxation. From these studies, and supported by investigations of the F spectrum, the authors conclude that in LiF doped samples two types of regions ("clusters") exist which are structurally different. Li linewidth data suggest that the increase of cond. in LiF doped samples, compared with undoped samples, is due to the larger no. of charge carriers rather than to an increase of lithium ion mobility.Except for chemicals metioned above, 7789-24-4 and 13762-75-9 are also used. .
