Etorphine Hydrochloride(13764-49-3) is (6R,7R,14R)-7,8-dihydro-7-[(1R)-1-hydroxy-1-methylbutyl]-6-O-methyl-6,14-ethenomorphine hydrochloride. It contains not less than 98.0% and not more than of 101.0% of C25H33NO4ClH, calculated with reference to the dried substance. 
Etorphine Hydrochloride(13764-49-3) is a white or almost white, microcrystalline powder.
It is sparingly soluble in water  and in ethanol (96%) and very slightly soluble in chloroform and  practically insoluble in ether.
