The chromizing or Ti cementation was carried out at 1050° for 5 h in a mixt. of Cr 50, Al2O3 45, NH4Cl 5% or Ti 75, Al2O3 20, NH4Cl 5%, resp. The wear resistance of boronized-chromized and TiB2-coated specimens was 3 and 2 times higher, resp., in comparison with the boronized ones without chromizing or Ti cementation.
