Some expts., including cough induced by ammonia liquor, cough induced by sulfur dioxide, death induced by endomycin, ear edema induced by xylene, fever induced by dried yeast were performed. The cough incubation period of mice induced by ammonia liquor or sulfur dioxide was obviously prolonged and the cough times induced by ammonia liquor were decreased by the QRZK-ORT (3.86, 1.93, and 0.87 g/kg, i.g.). When the mice were treated with the same dose, the ear edema induced by xylene was significantly inhibited. The mice treated with endomycin could not be protected by the QRZK-ORT. In rats, the fever caused by dried yeast was obviously inhibited by the QRZK-ORT (2.68, 1.34, and 0.67 g/kg, i.g.). QRZK-ORT still showed the same actions of fever removing, cough relieving, and anti-inflammation with the Xiao'er Qingre Zhike Oral Soln. .
