DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 1 (Pharmacology) Section cross-reference(s): 2, 4 The tone of the ductus arteriosus of the rabbit fetus near term constricted by O (PO2 = 20 kPa) was relaxed reversibly by chlorpromazine [50-53-3], promethazine [60-87-7], drotaverine [14009-24-6], papaverine [58-74-2], diazepam [439-14-5], propanidid [1421-14-3], isoxsuprine [395-28-8], pethidine [57-42-1], 5-ethyl-5-(1-methyl-propyl)-2-thiobarbituric acid [2095-57-0], and furosemide [54-31-9]. EtOH [64-17-5] on the other hand, caused constriction of the fetal ductus arteriosus. 395-28-8 and 14009-24-6 which are cas registry numbers of substances are two of reagents here. These drugs if used in obstetrics may disturb the newborn's adaptation to extrauterine life by inhibiting the postnatal closure of the ductus arteriosus. On the other hand, the constrictive effect of EtOH may adversely affect the fetus. The results make it necessary to investigate the effect of the drugs applied during the perinatal period on the adaptation of newborns to extrauterine life. .

Depogen had a better release rate than drotaverine, and was absorbed better in mice, and blood levels were higher and maintained longer in rats. In dogs, the ratio of free-to-bound drotaverin was max. (7.94) at 1 h and the max.In this experiment, several chemicals are used like 61954-97-0 and 14009-24-6 (3.67) for Depogen was at 10 h. .
