In addn. the compn. contains acrylic polymers, fatty acid esters and a buffer soln. Thus, a compn. was prepd. contg. tylosine tartrate [1405-54-5] 40.0, hydrocortisone acetate 0.1, iodochlorohydroxyquinoline 75.0, ethinylestradiol 0.05, citric acid 2.0, NaOH 3.4, polyacrylic acid 6.0, and polyethylene glycol sorbitan monooleate 45.0 g and distd. water to 2.0 L. The suspension was homogeneous, stable and had a pH of 6-6.5. The effectiveness of the compn. in treatment of inflammation in pigs was demonstrated.

Guinea pigs showed good absorption of the prepn. at 2 mL/kg body wt., i.m., and rats and mice remained tolerant to the prepn. when it was given at 3-5-fold the normal dose to guinea pigs. FV-82 contained tylosin tartrate [1405-54-5] 3.5 ′ 106 IU, cyanocobalamin [68-19-9] 0.008 g, pyridoxine-HCl [58-56-0] 0.5 g, tartaric acid 0.1 g, and ferridextran [9004-66-4] to 100 mL. Fe utilization was high with FV-82, but Fe from ferridextran (Dextrofer 100) alone was more efficiently utilized. .
