In 3 cumulative 20-h coking tests (in 1:1 C2H4-steam and N at 900°) alternating with 50-min decoking in N-steam-air, the coke depositions were 2.8, 5.0, and (blank), resp., as against 19.9, 21.5, and 24.2 (arbitrary units), resp., in the absence of an antifouling agent. The antifouling agent is also effective if it is added to the feedstock instead of being coated on the metal. The individual compds. and binary systems are also used.
