After thermal decompn. of the coating complex, Cu, Ni, or Co film is chem. deposited. Optionally, this film is supplemented by electroplating. Thus, 210 ′ 300 ′ 0.1 mm ABS foil was activated with a soln. consisting of 4-cyclohexene-1,2-dicarboxylic acid palladium chloride 0.25 g, EtOH 50, and trichloroethene 50 mL, dried 1 min, and electroless-coated with 0.2 m Ni for 20 min in a bath contg. dimethylaminoborane [1838-13-7] 3, NiCl2 30, and citric acid 10 g/L at pH 8.2.
