Preparation of Diabenzo-15-crown-5: this chemical is prepared by reaction of Bis-(2-chloro-ethyl) ether with 1, 2-Bis(o-hydroxyphenoxy)ethane. The reaction needs reagent KOH and solvent Dimethylsulfoxide. The reaction time is 2.5 hours with reaction temperature of 90 °C. The yield is about 66 %.
