The thermal conductivity of holmium phosphate, a strong Ising antiferromagnet with a large hyperfine interaction
The thermal conductivity of holmium phosphate, a strong Ising antiferromagnet with a large hyperfine interaction. Parsons, M. W.Several substances are used for example 14298-39-6 which is its cas registry number. S. (Dep. Phys., Univ. Nottingham, University Park/Nottingham, Engl.). Phonon Scattering Solids, [Proc. Int. Conf.], 2nd, Meeting Date 1975, 240-2. Edited by: Challis, Lawrence J.; Rampton, V. W.; Wyatt, Adrian F. G. Plenum: New York, N. Y. (English) 1976. CODEN: 35KBAT. DOCUMENT TYPE: Conference CA Section: 69 (Thermodynamics, Thermochemistry, and Thermal Properties) The thermal cond. .lambda. was detd. of HoPO4 [14298-39-6] by using "Searls Bar" technique, a 3He-4He diln. refrigerator, and a supercond. solenoid. The heat current and magnetic field were along the c axis. A broad T3 dependence was obsd. with some significant deviations. The magnetic field dependence shows max. at 1.85 .+-. 0.05 kOe. .
Rare-earth element reference samples for electron microprobe analysis
Rare-earth element reference samples for electron microprobe analysis. Jarosewich, Eugene; Boatner, L. A. (Natl. Mus. Nat. Hist., Smithsonian Inst., Washington, DC 20560, USA). Geostand. Newsl., 15(2), 397-9 (English) 1991. CODEN: GENEE7. ISSN: 0150-5505. 13778-59-1 and 14298-39-6 are cas registry numbers of chemicals which are used as reagents here. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 79 (Inorganic Analytical Chemistry) Fourteen rare-earth (plus scandium and yttrium) orthophosphate samples were synthesized and characterized for use as electron microprobe ref. samples. These ref. samples are single-element phosphates that are homogeneous, stable under the electron beam, and free of interfering elements. They have a stoichiometric compn. (RPO4) with the element of interest (R) ranging from 32 to 64 wt. percent. .
