The following compds. inhibited mold development at 20 mg/2.6-L desiccator: dimethyl fumarate [624-49-7], diethyl fumarate [623-91-6], propenoic acid [79-10-7], methyl [96-33-3], and ethyl propenoate [140-88-5], methyl [922-67-8] and ethyl propiolate [623-47-2], methyl-2,4-hexadienoate [1515-80-6], 2,4-hexadien-1-ol [111-28-4], diethylethylidene malonate [1462-12-0], 4-penten-1-ol [821-09-0], and 2-cyclohexen-1-one [930-68-7]. Other compds. were active at 200 mg/desiccator: 3-methallyl alc. [513-42-8], allyl acetone [109-49-9], diallyl ether [557-40-4], propiolic acid [471-25-0], methyl [18707-60-3], ethyl [10544-63-5], and vinyl crotonate [14861-06-4]; ethyl-2,4-hexadienoate [2396-84-1]; methyl [2396-77-2] and ethyl 2-hexenoate [1552-67-6]; ethyl 3-hexenoate [2396-83-0]; 1,5-hexadien-3-ol [924-41-4]; methylmaleic acid [498-23-7]; methylmalonic acid [516-05-2]; and 1-penten-3-ol [616-25-1]. .
