DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 78 (Inorganic Chemicals and Reactions) Section cross-reference(s): 25, 75 The complex [CuL2]ClO4 (L = bis(2-nitrophenylpropenylidenimino)benzene) crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1 with a = 13.167(1), b = 13.209(1), c = 14.465(1) ?, a = 83.209(9)°, b = 68.438(2)°, g = 70.803(2)°, V = 2209.4(3) ?3, Z = 2, Dcalc = 1.527 mg/m3. The coordination polyhedron about the Cu(I) atom is best described as a distorted tetrahedron. The Schiff ligand L acts as a bidentate ligand coordinating via two N atoms to the copper. The four Cu-N distances are 2.04(2), 2.038(2), 2.046(2) and 2.062(2) ?. .

- Physicochemical study of complex compounds of tin and titanium tetrachlorides with o- and p-nitrocinnamic aldehydes. Zolotareva, G. I.; Verkhovodova, D. Sh. (USSR). Vopr. Khim., 2, 3-8 (Russian) 1974. CODEN: VOKHDV. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 78 (Inorganic Chemicals and Reactions) Section cross-reference(s): 22 The complex-forming ability of SnCl4 and TiCl4 with o- and p-nitrocinnamic aldehydes and the nature of the coordination bonding in the complexes were studied by IR absorption spectroscopy and dipole moment measurements. The results indicate that the introduction of a nitro group into the benzene ring causes a larger mesomeric effect and weakens the donor properties of the CO group. The complex-forming ability of SnCl4 is greater than that of TiCl4. 61818-93-7 and 1466-88-2 are just another two chemicals used in this study. .
