Sci., Osaka Univ., Suita, Japan). Heterocycles, 6(1), 33-6 (English) 1977. CODEN: HTCYAM. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 27 (Heterocyclic Compounds (One Hetero Atom)) The title reaction gave 93% of a mixt. of I and II in a molar ratio (NMR); I and II were sepd. 62095-86-7 and 14696-82-3 are also in the experiment. by preparative thin layer chromatog. Treatment of either I or II with KOH gave 3-azidobenzofuran. Refluxing I and II with MeO2CC.tplbond.CCO2Me gave the corresponding 1:2 cycloadducts in 50 and 18% yield, resp. .

Coll., Bangalore Univ., Bangalore, India). J. Crystallogr. Spectrosc. Res., 14(1), 13-20 (English) 1984. CODEN: JCREDB. ISSN: 0277-8068. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 75 (Crystallography and Liquid Crystals) Section cross-reference(s): 28 The title compd. is monoclinic, space group P21/a, with a 11.586(2), b 10.617(1), c 10.417(1) ?, and b 94.567(2)°; dc = 1.71 and dm = 1.70 for Z = 4. The structure was solved by Patterson and Fourier methods and refined to an R = 0.031 for 1620 reflections. The connectivity and conformation of the addn. product of cis-1,5-cyclononadiene and iodine azide was, thus, detd. The compd. contains a chair-conformation cyclohexane ring that is cis-fused to a cyclopentane ring. The cyclopentane ring has an envelope conformation and an equatorially oriented I. A planar tetrazole ring is axially substituted on the cyclohexane ring. The plane of the tetrazole ring makes a dihedral angle of 69.6° with the av. plane of the carbon atoms of the cyclohexane ring. At. coordinates are given. .
