DOCUMENT TYPE: Patent CA Section: 42 (Coatings, Inks, and Related Products) Ink elements are prepd. by coating plastic substrates with inks contg. pigments and/or coloring agents, heat-sensitive adhesive resins, and waxes. Thus, 75 g Piccolastic E100 [9003-53-6] and 25 g Lunamelt HS 600 [95328-05-5] were dissolved in toluene 300, iso-BuCOMe 180, and MEK 60 g, ball-milled with Sandorin 2GLS Blue [147-14-8] 3, Graftolo BP Ruby [5281-04-9] 8, and Fat Black HT [95327-70-1] 25 g, mixed with solvents, and coated on a polyethylene [9002-88-4] film to prep. a ribbon giving satisfactory printing at 40 letters/s.

Zh., 47(1), 126-30 (Russian) 1985. CODEN: KOZHAG. ISSN: 0023-2912. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 42 (Coatings, Inks, and Related Products) The effect of temp. on the rheol. of model printing inks contg. a-Cu phthalocyanine [147-14-8] with various particle shapes and sizes dispersed in the alkyd GFL-2 or rosin-modified phenolic resin-linseed oil varnish 6-04 is discussed. Heating the inks from 20 to 50° decreased their max. (h) and min. (h1) viscosities and increased h/h1, esp. in GFL-2. h/h1 Increased with decreasing pigment particle size (0.52-0.22 m) and was substantially higher for flakes than for needles.
