This mixt. (2456 kg) was used with 2185 kg bisphenol A and 2722 kg phosgene in the prepn. of a polycarbonate-polyester which had tensile strength 65 MPa, brake elongation 25%, elastic modulus 2160 MPa, notched impact strength 14 kJ/m2, and Vicat softening temp. 155°. This polymer was mixed with 0.1% K perfluorobutanesulfonate [29420-49-3] and 0.5% N-methyltetrachlorophthalimide [14737-80-5] to give a compn. which had fire resistance rating (UL 94 test) V-0 and was self-extinguishing during 2 s.Except for chemicals metioned above, 100-21-0 is also used. ..
