DOCUMENT TYPE: Patent CA Section: 39 (Textiles) Light-resistant fibers were prepd. by melt spinning a blend of nylon 6 (I) or nylon 66 contg. .gtoreq.5.0 .times. 10-5 mol/g terminal amino groups and .gtoreq.0.05% 2-aminobenzothiazole (II) [136-95-8] or its deriv. Thus, a blend of I (contg. 8.4 .times. 10-5 mol/g terminal amino groups) contg. 2.0% II was melt spun and the spun fibers were drawn to give 1050-denier 64-filament fibers with good resistance to light, whereas light resistance was poor for fibers spun from a similar compn. without contg. II. .
