Effect of polymers and copolymers of anabasine derivatives on spontaneous bioelectrical activity of the rabbit brain
Effect of polymers and copolymers of anabasine derivatives on spontaneous bioelectrical activity of the rabbit brain. Khazbievich, I. S.; Khalikova, F. R.; Nasirov, S. Kh. (USSR). Nauchn. Tr. - Tashk. Gos. Univ., 502, 114-21 (Russian) 1976. CODEN: NTGLAZ. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 1 (Pharmacodynamics) Anabasine-HCl (I) [15251-47-5] at 1 mg/kg injected i.v. into rabbits caused a triphasic effect on the spontaneous bioelec. activity of the brain: activation, convulsion, depression. N-methacryloyl anabasine-N-methacryloylpiperidine copolymer [64708-11-8] at 1.5-2.0 mg/kg produced EEG desynchronization in all brain areas followed by depression. N-methacryloylanabasine-N-vinylpyrrolidone copolymer [64348-66-9] at 0.1-0.5 mg/kg activated the EEG in all brain areas.
Inhibitory action of the anabasine, anabasamine, and lupinine alkaloids on the effect of ethanol in mice
Inhibitory action of the anabasine, anabasamine, and lupinine alkaloids on the effect of ethanol in mice. Mirzaev, S. (Leningr. Nauchno-Issled. Psikhonevrol. Inst., Leningrad, USSR). Farmakol. Toksikol. (Moscow), 41(1), 52-5 (Russian) 1978. CODEN: FATOAO. ISSN: 0014-8318. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 4 (Toxicology) Anabasine-HCl [15251-47-5] (3 and 6 mg/kg), anabasamine-HCl [52172-22-2] (25 and 50 mg/kg), and lupinine (I) [486-70-4] (40 and 80 mg/kg), administered i.p. to mice, decreased the motor excitability induced by a 2 mg/kg (i.p. or oral) dose of EtOH [64-17-5] and decreased the EtOH concn. in the blood. I decreased the duration of anesthesia caused by 6 mg EtOH/kg, but did not affect the blood EtOH levels. The presence of 2 mechanisms for antialc. action of the Anabasis aphylla alkaloids is indicated.
