Thus, I administration to mice which were tolerant to the analgesic effects of morphine [57-27-2] (hot plate test) reversed the tolerance and restored the analgesic activity of morphine.

The mean percentage found was 99.48%, and the procedure was applied to the detn. of I in tablets and I glycinate [2393-92-2] as the hydrochloride alone and in the injectable form. The title method has higher precision and is less time consuming than the procedure of the BP 1980.
